Yes — hydronic boiler install, gas line connection, pressure relief valves, and water-side pipework all require a BPC-licensed plumber and gasfitter under Victorian law. Electric heat-pump-driven hydronic systems also need a licensed electrician for the wiring side. We hold both plumbing and gasfitting licences for the wet/gas side.
Radiator hydronic is the retrofit option — pipework runs under floors or in walls and feeds wall-mounted radiators. In-slab is for new builds or major renovations because the pipework runs inside a poured concrete slab. Radiators heat faster; in-slab is more even and quieter but slower to respond. We quote based on what suits your build, not what we install most.
Annually is the rule of thumb — a yearly check on the boiler, expansion vessel pressure, water inhibitor concentration, and pump function keeps the system running and the warranty valid. Skipping servicing is the most common reason hydronic systems fail at the boiler stage.
Yes — a hydronic install ends with a Compliance Certificate covering the gas and plumbing work. The boiler manufacturer typically also requires a commissioning record signed by the licensed installer for warranty registration.
